| What is Spellbrain India? |
| Spellbrain India is a Private Limited Company based out of Hyderabad, India. The company has been set up by a few socially conscious individuals to promote the English language competencies of the people of the South Asian Region. |

| What is the purpose of Spellbrain? |
| To expand the usage of English language in the South Asian Region, and to create a network of activists that will help promote the English language in the region. |

| What does Spellbrain do? |
The company inter alia conducts school, college, open, and professional (for eg. teachers) spelling competitions, as well as promotes English language writing, poetry, essay writing, film making, etc.

| How does Spellbrain work? |
| Any student from classes 6 to 10 is eligible to enter the championship. The test maybe conducted in several rounds. The top 5-15% of each of the rounds may proceed to the next written test round. Exact percentage of students proceeding to the next round will be determined by the number of students in each round. Once ideal number is reached we will proceed to the oral round where each successful student will be required to spell the word he or she is asked. The winners, including the consolation prize winners of each school will proceed to participate in the Twin Cities Spellbrain Inter-school Championship. The year’s Inter-school Spellbrain champion will emerge out of this championship. In the year 2010 Spellbrain India will focus on the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. In the following years Spellbrain India will extend its operations to other cities of the country. |

| Where do I register to participate in Spellbrain? |
| For the inter-school championships, you may contact the school authorities to take up with Spellbrain India. For the open championships you may enroll directly at www.spellbrain.com . Announcements to this effect will be made periodically on the website. |

| The fee may vary from championship to championship. For exact fee structure please read more detailed announcements on the website. |

| What does the winner of Spellbrain get if he or she wins? |
Prizes for the 2010 interschool championship are as follows:
1st Prize winner gets Rs.25,000/-, a branded T-Shirt, cap, and a 1st place trophy.
2nd Prize winner gets Rs.15,000/-, a branded T-Shirt, cap, and a 2nd place trophy.
3rd Prize winner gets Rs.10,000/-, a branded T-Shirt, cap, and a 3rd place trophy.
Two Consolation prizes of Rs.2500/- and T-shirt.

| What does the winner’s school get? |
| Any school is as good as its students. The school will get recognition and its brand will expand manifold once its student wins the championships. The mileage obtained by the school will help expand its operations. The champion’s school will get a rolling shield presented to the School Principal at the end of the finals. |

| Who are the Brand Ambassadors? |
| They are the winners of the Spellbrain championships. They are notified as the Brand Ambassadors of the company and they will be enlisted by the company for various campaigns relating to English language, within their own schools as well as the twin cities. Also, they will be eligible to participate in English language workshops held from time to time by the company. |

| One set of words is given in the annual calendar list which is published by Spellbrain India and can be bought by the students. Also, a pdf format of the calendar can be downloaded free of cost from the website. |

| There will be several competitions for teachers, script writers, screenplay writers, short story writers, and poets; announcements for which will be made time to time on the website. |
